Saints Mary & Elizabeth Academy recognizes the need of working parents to provide a safe haven for their children before the school day begins and at the end of the school until the end of the parents' work day.

The Academy provides a Before and After Care Program for our working parents.

Before Care is in session from 7:15 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., and After Care is in session from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. each full day of school or 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. each early dismissal day.  (Children must bring lunch from home on half-day sessions.

Cost Schedule

Registration fee for each child is $50 (non-refundable).

Before Care: The monthly cost for the program for each child is $60.

After Care: The monthly cost for the program for one child is as follows:

5 days = $250

4 days = $210

3 days = $180

2 days = $160

1 day = $130

Add half the monthly cost for each additional child.

Parents are billed monthly at the end of each month.  Payments are expected by the 10th of the following month.  There are no refunds for sick days or emergency closings, i.e. snow days.

Late Pick-Up Fee - The program closes promptly at 6:00 p.m.  If you are late, a staff member will stay with your child until you arrive; however, after 6:00 p.m. you will be charged $15.00 for each 15-minute period you are late.

CARES Program

The program is organized to provide varied activities, which include homework, snack time, outdoor and/or indoor activities (games, TV, movies and computer).

Daily Release:

Children will be released only to parents or adult individual who has been authorized by the parent.  This authorization must be in writing.  Parents or authorized adult must sign the child out of the program each day.  This is necessary to ensure your child's safety.

Communication:

Parents may call CARES during school hours at 908-486-2507, or 908-496-2508 after 2:30 p.m. on full days (12:00 noon on early dismissal days).

Health and Safety:

All health forms must be completed with up-to-date information and phone numbers (including emergency numbers) for our files.

Children who show signs of illness or who have a communicable disease will not take part in CARES activities.  Parents will be contacted immediately.

No staff members will dispense medication of any kind.

Children who are not in school cannot return for the After CARE program.

A staff person may reserve the right to determine the appropriateness of toys or items brought to the CARES program.

Behavior:

CARES is provided as a service.  Children attendance is a privilege, not a right.  Children are expected to obey rules and regulations.  This is to ensure the safety and rights of everyone.

If a child's behavior continually infringes on the rights and safety of others, the program staff will speak with the parents.  Circumstances may also warrant meeting with the Principal to determine whether the child may remain in the program.

After School Rules:

1. No child is to leave the supervision of the CARES staff without expressed permission.

2. Foul language and profanity will not be tolerated.

3. Behavior that causes harm to another individual will not be tolerated.  This includes biting, pinching, hitting, kicking, etc.

4. Each child is expected to clean up his/her toys, craft supplies, and help to straighten up the room.

5. Each child is unique and valuable, therefore, we will expect every child to be treated with respect, love, and concern.

Pick-up of Children:

Pick-up time is to be BEFORE 6:00 p.m.  Children are picked up in the CARES room.  Parents MUST sign-out their children in the sign-out book that is in the CARES room.

Late Pick-up:

Your promptness is important for the success of the program.  The Staff has families and other responsibilities as well.  They are only on duty until 6:00 p.m.

Parents and guardians arriving after 6:00 p.m. will be assessed $15.00 for each additional 15-minute period that the staff member must remain.

We thank you for your cooperation!
