TUITION RATES - 2008-2009

Tuition Rates for 2008-2009 – K through 8

In-Parish                                                      Out-of-Parish

1 child -                       $2900                       $4250 per child

2 children -                 $4800

3 or more children -  $6200

Registration fee - $75 per family + $110 Computer fee per child (K-8).  Both are due at registration and are non-refundable.

HSA dues - $50 per family 

TUITION PAYMENTS BEGIN JULY, 2008

All tuition payments will be handled through the Smart Tuition Program.  Should your tuition fall 60 days delinquent EDUCATION SERVICES TO YOUR CHILD WILL BE SUSPENDED AND YOU WILL BE ASKED TO REMOVE YOUR CHILD/CHILDREN UNTIL THE TUITION IS BROUGHT UP TO DATE; as per the Archdiocese of Newark. 

SS. MARY AND ELIZABETH ACADEMY HOME-SCHOOL ASSN.

All families who belong to Saints Mary and Elizabeth Academy are obligated to belong to the Home-School Assn. (PTA); and are urged to attend the General Meetings which are held 4-5 times a year.  Dues are $50.00 per family and are due at time of registration.  A check or money order is to be made payable to SME Academy HSA.

FUND RAISING FEE

All families are responsible to raise $400.00 for fund raising plus $25.00 for Tricky Tray and are obliged to take part in all fund raising activities. An accurate account will be kept of each family’s participation. Half of your fund raising obligation must be met by January 15th or you will be billed for the outstanding amount. The other half must be met by May 15th or you will be billed for the outstanding amount at that time.

 

Tuition Rates for 2008-2009 – Pre-K 3 & 4

Full Day (Pre-K 3 or 4)         $3650 per child

½ Day (Pre-K 3 only)            $2250 per child

 

Registration fee - $75 per family - due at the time of registration.  Registration fees are non-refundable.

HSA dues - $50 per family

All tuition payments will be handled through the Finance Office in the Academy. 10 equal payments will be made beginning in August and ending in May. You will receive 10 payment envelopes by mail in July.

General School Information


Starting and Dismissal Times

School begins at 8:00 a.m. and dismisses at 2:30 p.m.
On Early Dismissal days--students will be dismissed at 12:00 Noon. Remember breakfast and lunch are not served on Early Dismissal Days.

If your child arrives late, please walk your child to the office so they can receive a late slip.

 

Uniforms

ALL STUDENTS (with the exception of our Pre-K students) must wear Academy Uniforms.

Summer Uniform: The summer uniform is worn by all students from the 1st day of school until Columbus Day in the fall, and during the months of May and June.

The summer uniform for boys consists of navy blue walking shorts, white or light blue polo (with "Academy" embroidery), white socks and sneakers.

The summer uniform for girls consists of navy blue skort, white or light blue polo (with "Academy" embroidery), white socks and sneakers.

Winter Uniform - The winter uniform is worn from Columbus Day in the fall until April 30.

Girls in K through 5 wear the Academy plaid jumper with light blue or white blouse. Girls in grades 6 to 8 wear Academy navy blue sweater vest, Academy plaid kilt, white or light blue blouse.

Boys in all grades, K through 8 will wear the Academy navy blue sweater vest, navy blue pants, white or light blue shirt and Academy plaid tie (K-5) or Academy striped tie (6-8)

Gym Uniform: The gym uniform consists of navy micromesh shorts with Academy logo or sweats, and ash tee shirt with the "Academy" logo.

If you have any uniform needs, please call Flynn & O'Hara Uniform Company. Be sure to specify your child's grade.

 

Lunch

A Government-Sponsored hot breakfast and lunch program is served to all children on all full days of school.
Application forms for free or reduced fees will be sent home with your child on the first day of school. It is important that you fill out this form and send it back to us in a timely manner.

Children who wish to have breakfast, must enter the gym/cafeteria at 7:50 a.m.

 

Drop-Off and Pick-Up of Students

On good weather days, children will line up by class on the parking lot. On rainy or inclement days, children enter the building and go directly to their classroom.
Children should not be arriving at school before 7:50 a.m. in the morning. There is no adult supervision before that time.


NO CARS ARE PERMITTED ON THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT IN THE MORNING OR AT DISMISSAL.
Students line up on the parking lot in the morning, and the younger grades are dismissed directly onto the parking lot at 2:30 p.m.. In order to ensure their safety, this rule will be strictly enforced.

 

Bus Students

If your child is arriving by bus and is entering Kindergarten through Grade 3, please pin a tag with your child's name and grade onto his/her shirt for the 1st few days of school. This will help us to see that your child gets to the proper line.
