Academy Summer Camp 2008

 

  

 

June 23rd to August 15th

Monday thru Friday

7:30 am to 5:30 pm  

Summer is quickly approaching, and here at The Academy we are getting ready for our 5th Annual Summer Camp Program.

The 8-week program consists of indoor/outdoor recreation, sprinklers, arts and crafts, local walking trips, bicycle riding, computer games, videos, weekly themes and simple cooking projects.

We are taking registrations on a first come, first serve basis.  We are limiting our enrollment to approximately 50 students.  Please fill out the forms and schedules (pages 3 through 6) and return them with the $50.00 (per child) registration fee at registration time.

Our goal is to provide a safe and happy environment for your child during the summer!  If you have any questions please feel free to call the school at 908-486-2507.  We look forward to your participation in our program!   

      

 

THINGS TO BRING TO CAMP

LUNCH     Children must bring a cold lunch each day.  Please include a drink.  We provide a morning and afternoon snack each day.  We also recommend that you send your children in with bottled water for hot days.

                                                           

CLOTHING     We recommend that your child bring his/her bathing suit daily.  Please send a change of clothing each day.  (This includes undergarments as well!) Your child will need a towel to dry off.  Towels must be taken home daily.  All items should be kept in a bag clearly labeled with the child's name.

                                                       

SUNSCREEN     Children must bring waterproof sunscreen with your child's name clearly written on the bottle.  Apply the sunscreen to your child at home in the morning.  We will reapply throughout the day when necessary.

                                                     

SHOES     Children must wear water shoes if they want to play in the water sprinkler each day.  Please send a change of shoes or sandals.

                                                   

BICYCLES     Children are allowed to bring their bicycles each week.  They are to wear their own helmet when riding a bike.  Bicycles can be kept at school during the week.  We will lock them up in the school.

                                                         

PRE-K & K     Children must bring in a sleeping bag and pillow for the afternoon rest time.

                                                      

GRADES 1-8     Children must bring in a book to read during the afternoon rest time.  We recommend they bring their summer reading list books.

                                                        

 

 

Our Academy Camp is open to students who are registered at the Academy for the 2008-2009 school year.  All children must be potty-trained.  We do not have the facilities to change diapers!

 

The Camp operates between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:30 pm Monday through Friday.  (The camp will close for the 4th of July holiday from Thursday, July 3rd until Monday, July 7th).

The registration fee is $50.00 (per child) due upon registration.

 

The cost of the camp is $150.00 per week per child ($30.00 per day).  You will only be charged $90 for the three days the Camp is open the shortened week of June 30th.  Please make note of the payment schedule below. 

 

There is an additional fee of $5.00 for every 15 minutes for each child picked up after 5:30 p.m.
